Hi! Remember this post? Well, my friend Ahndea is a stylist {as in, she takes you and your stuff and makes you look better than how you made you look in your stuff. And she’ll help you go and get more youier you stuff too. Anyway, check out her site and you’ll get the idea}. Well, she inherited a ton of vintage jewelry from her fabulous Yaya, and started making these flower creations using the vintage heirlooms {now you see where this is going} and using them in the portraits she was styling. So many people wanted to buy them after they saw them and wore them, she thought she might as well give the public what they wanted, and HeirBloom was born. I am lucky enough to get to work on her branding and, while we’ve still got a ways to go, I thought I’d share the identity I created for her. Here it is, along with a photo of the gorgeous Ahndea {oh, and me} both wearing some of the pretty jeweled flowers. Happy Saturday! xo, linds

I have been doing a lot of this lately:

I would say I’ve been a busy bee, but that sounds way too cute. And, well, I definitely haven’t been the cute kind of busy. When I don’t get ready, I really don’t. My bummy clothes aren’t cute Gap Body sweats and pashminas. They’re true, paint-covered, hole-y, sorority and softball, I-hope-I-don’t-run-in-to-anyone-while-I-run-this-errand clothes. As in, I don’t know that I’ve purchased any new lounge wear since college… and I’m definitely 29. Shoot. {All of my friends are laughing to themselves, nodding, saying “yes, linds, you could really could use a hole-less pair of sweats…” So is my mom. (Sorry, Mom).}. Also, I have naturally curly-wavy-large hair. So to blow dry my hair and get all ready when I’m under deadline is probably, well, not happening. It’s kind of okay because I love messy hair, and the other day, since it was the 3rd messy-bun-day in a row, I thought I’d mix it up with a mini french braid. You’ve probably seen that a lot lately back into a pony, but I’d never seen it in a bun, so I thought I’d share. Give it a try the next bummy day you have! xo, linds

I LOVE creating custom birthday party invites, and this invitation represents exactly why I love it so much. It’s so fun to create something special for someone that they could never find in a store, and that’s what I wanted to create for Violet. Now, with a name like Violet and her cool artsy mom’s fun idea for a pottery painting party, it would have been pretty hard not to create a super fun invite. So, I got out my watercolors and went for it. Thanks so much Jody for this fun project–and happy birthday to Violet! xo, linds

I designed this for myself today. It’s such a fine line, isn’t it? Whatever your thing is, I find that it’s a fine line between being inspired by looking/listening/watching/reading other people’s whatever-it-is, and feeling like your whatever-it-is isn’t… enough. Maybe you don’t suffer from the same thing… but in the event that you do, I decided I’d create a version for you. Pull the image off my site onto your desktop, print out, and fill in your own blanks. Put it near your wherever you do your whatever, as a reminder that all God asks is that you be the best you that you can. No one else can do that better than you. xo, linds

I finally got a chance to photograph the invite I designed that I posted about here. {The photos I’d previously posted were ones Emily shot & let me borrow}. Now you can maybe read the cute writing better {writing is one of my favorite parts of creating custom invites!} Enjoy! xo, linds {p.s. Emily, who I collaborated with for this party, just created a line of printable valentines. Yes, seriously. Go check them out. And buy some. And buy one for me}.
